What a fabulous weekend we have had in Ipswich.
The Celeb FC team travelled to Woodbridge to play in a Charity Match for The Jude Brady Foundation. on Saturday 30th July 2016.
This is a wonderful Charity raising awareness of stillbirth & neonatal death & raising funds for child-related good causes in the UK.
We had met the lovely Nicola from the JBF when we assisted with a few players at their event last year and from then we were involved, as they are such a great organisation.
This year we fielded, what we believed to be a strong team, however we were worried as the JBF had a team chock full of ex-pro’s, some even capped for England…yes we were worried.

The game started very strongly for TeamJude, they really brought it to us and it felt like our misgivings were warranted – but as the game went on, we grew stronger and more determined and ended up going our way. The end result was a comfortable 4 – 0 win for Celeb FC.
The best part of the day however was the fabulous £2000 that was raised.
Add to that the £3000 or so that was raised at the evening event at Aqua Eight night club in Ipswich and all in all it was a very successful day.
