Another very worthwhile charity which will be benefiting from the event being held on Sunday 28th July at Harlow town FC is the Shakoor Memorial Fund for Abbotsweld School.
Husband and Wife, Neil and Donna Betteridge, of Abbotsweld, have worked tirelessly to raise money for a lasting tribute to the family which is being installed in the playground of Abbotsweld School, where Muneeb and Sohaib were pupils.
They lead a group of people who dedicate their spare time to building a memorial garden and play area at Abbotsweld School in memory of Dr Sabah Usmani and her five children who died in a house fire in Barn Mead on October 15, 2012.
This extremely worthwhile legacy has also been enhanced by a £12,000 ‘jungle gym’ donated by Hampshire-based play equipment firm Fawns; This has already been erected in the primary school’s playground. There will also be 5 benches, each inscribed with the name of one of the young victims, along with a canopy which will represent their mother.
It has also recently been announced that Essex County Council have donated a whopping £10000 to the fund. this has been earmarked to help with completion of a second memorial at the school 6 year old Rayyan was a pupil.
This charity has been supported by fund raising events all over Harlow, proving to be something that really struck at the heart of this Town…
Join us on Sunday 28th July at Harlow town FC for what is going to be the greatest charity event Harlow has ever seen…
