Organiser Jamie Wadlow of Kirton FC said “I’ve always been involved in different charity event’s but never held my own personal event. From years of running football teams I decided last year to create a large-scale charity celebrity football match using our club. Children’s charities have won my heart the most as it breaks my heart to see children in need of support, as they are the most vulnerable in society. I’ve followed a lot of Save the children UK’s work & it would be a great honour to raise a large amount of funding for them, helping them to change the lives of children in the UK”.

Karin Flower, Founder of Celeb FC said, “We are utterly delighted to lend our support to this event. Everything that we do is important but Save The Children UK is a truly worthy charity that supports the most vulnerable in our country & without the funding they so desperately need, they can’t help the young ones that rely on them the most. We owe a great deal of thanks to so many people – the celebs that support us, the venue, the local press, local communities – but it really comes down to ticket sales. So please come along”.
