DESCRIPTION:Celeb FC Founder Karin will be attending with Jason Burrill – Winner of Big Brother 2016. \nFundraising Gala – for the Mayor of Merton’s chosen charities. \nStarting with a sparkling reception through to dinner and ending with dancing I can assure you that it will be an evening of great grandeur. Both of the Mayors charities work extremely hard to provide support to the most vulnerable within our community and sponsorship is key to allowing all monies raised on the night to go directly to the charities. \n  \nMerton Mencap is a local\, registered charity which has supported families in Merton for over 50 years.  Mencap runs projects and activities for children\, young people and adults with learning disabilities which help them to be safer\, healthier and as independent as possible. By working with local health and social services\, the local education authority\, other statutory agencies and other voluntary organisations Merton Mencap is helping to improve and develop local services. \n  \n  \nThe Commonside Community Development Trust was established in 2001 and is now 16 years old. The Trust has grown from running a parents’ course to now providing community spaces for over 80 groups weekly\, managing the busy NewHorizon Centre\, and running its two core programmes:  Step Forward for parents and carers\, and the Lunch Club for Older People. The Trust also offers free training and help with employment. Its Lunch Club for Older People runs every weekday and is a vital service to more than 75 older people living in Merton\, offering a healthy lunch\, entertainment\, debates and advice. \n  \n
